How to Install Google Apps on Non-Rooted Xiaomi MIUI Phones

Xiaomi is usually known for the OEM Android manufacture with affordable smartphones. Recently, the company has introduced the mid-range Xiaomi Redmi 4X, but similar to other the company’s smartphones, it does not come with Google services. That is because the Chinese phones are not allowed to pre-install the Google Play Store app or any Google services.

Xiaomi phones also have Google Apps before, but they were removed in the MIUI ROM to meet policies in China. However, that does not mean you cannot grab them on your Xiaomi device. Here is step-by-step guide to install all the Google Apps on Xiaomi MIUI devices without having to root your phone.

Steps to Install Google Apps on Xiaomi phones

Before getting started, you should keep in mind that the process does not require the root acccess to install these apps.

Step 1 : Download Google Installer 2.0 APK file:

Step 2 – Save the APK on your phone and tap on it to install.

Step 3 – If you install the APK directly for the very first time, you would be prompted to turn on “Unknown Source” option in Settings. Go to Settings > Security  and enable Unknown Source.

Step 4 – After enabling it, the app should then install.

Step 5 – Once done, launch the app.

Step 6 – You will see a big blue “Install” button. Tap on that button to start installing the Google apps on your Xiaomi phone.

Step 7 – The phone will ask you for putting your Google credentials, simply enter them when being asked.

Step 8 – Finally, reboot your phone and enjoy the result.
